Our book provides a comprehensive guide to all aspects of the Irish Junior Cert Exam.

It is divided into 5 main chapters which include:

• Chapter 1 provides 3 sample poetry and 2 sample prose answers that would achieve full marks in the exam.

• Chapter 2 provides a list of vocabulary that we found occurred regularly in the papers over the past 7 years. It also gives a list of proverbs that are useful in essays and questioning words that students will need to answer all aspects of the paper.

• Chapter 3 provides 3 sample A-standard essays that can be fit to use in almost any question asked in the paper. It also provides essay phrases for an introduction, ending etc.

• Chapter 4 gives a guide to letter writing and a sample letter that would be awarded the full 30 marks in the exam.

• Chapter 5 deals with all the main aspects of the Irish grammar. It pesents the 4 verb tenses in an easy-to-read and understand manner; it deals with the possessive adjective, the comparitive adjective and much more! We also tackle the Tuiseal Ginideach- the genitive case- which is one of the most difficult parts of Irish grammar- yet one of the most important!
