WHAT is FUNTEACH?
Dia Dhaoibh a chairde,
Our names are Erin Breheny and Eimear Kearins and we are the authors of ‘Funteach’. We are Transition Year students at Ursuline College, Sligo.
Fóinteach is the Irish word for helpful or practical and that is exactly what our book is in every shape and form. We decided to swap the ‘fóin’ with ‘fun’ as that is what we’ve tried to do- make studying Irish a little less complicated.
In writing this book, we also hope to make the Irish Junior Certificate exam a little less daunting. We recently sat our Junior Certificate exams, and the experience is still fresh in our memories. We believe that, along with our notes, we can pass on our personal experience and advice to worried students sitting these exams.
We hope you learn lots from studying with this book a, and it helps you to achieve your full potential!
